1. What materials are used in Durabrac components?
Durabrac components are manufactured in our own facility from 100% virgin sheet vinyl/PVC containing U/V inhibitors. We choose our material for its durability and non-yellowing characteristics. Because our manufacturing process does not require the use of expensive molds, we are able to offer a large selection of products in sizes that fit your needs.
2. How do Durabrac components compare to Wood and Polyurethane Foam?
Durabrac components have the look and feel of wood, however unlike wood, vinyl does not absorb water. Water absorption is the reason for rotting, cracking and paint failure of wood components. In addition, vinyl has no weak grain structure, therefore, allowing for the material to maintain its durability and remain strong in all directions.
Polyurethane Foam has a higher expansion and contraction rate than vinyl, has a Class C fire rating while vinyl is Class A and is more susceptible to puncturing and damage from burrowing or drilling insects, bees and birds.

3. Are Durabrac components structural?
Our components will hold some weight, however they are not designed to be load bearing. With that being said, many of our builder components are hollow and can fit over the top of structural systems, completely concealing the load-bearing beams. Please refer to this structural installation video to view a graphic demonstration on how the installation and final product works.
4. Can I paint my Durabrac components?
Durabrac components are shipped in their natural, unpainted white form. While it may be left in its natural state you can easily paint them with latex paint. Durabrac components will not yellow or change color from the sun or weather.
5. How do I paint my Durabrac components?

6. If I paint my Durabrac components how long will the paint last?
The actual longevity of the paint on your Durabrac component depends specifically on the climate and environment in which it will be installed. The Durabrac facility is located in Pensacola, Florida, a notoriously hot and humid environment. Our products can be seen on structures at the beach, downtown and further inland. They have survived sun, heat and even hurricanes. We have witnessed first hand the durability of painted Durabrac components we sell in our area.
7. How are Durabrac components maintained?
Durabrac components are very low maintenance. They will not yellow or stain when left in their natural white state. To clean your brackets simply spray the brackets with a water and bleach mixture, wipe or scrub to remove stubborn dirt, pollen or residue (if necessary) and rinse off.
8. How soon will my order ship?
Orders for standard components are shipped within three to five working days. Builder components are shipped within ten to fourteen working days. Please call for lead time on large quantity or custom orders.
9. Can I return all or part of my order?

10. What if I ordered the wrong size?
We know that mistakes happen, so please give us a call immediately. We will be happy to discuss a resolution. Please refer to our Return Policy for exceptions. All related shipping charges are the responsibility of the consumer.
11. Do you ship outside of the United States?
Products shipping to Canada can be purchased directly through our website. If you are not located in the United States or Canada and are interested in purchasing our product please contact Suzanne via email at suzanne@durabrac.com to discuss the possibility. All duties, shipping and brokerage fees are paid by the customer.
12. Do you have a warranty on your products?
Durabrac, as the manufacturer, warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months after purchase under normal use and conditions. The manufacturer is not responsible for damage to product during installation or alteration of products.
13. Can you help me determine the size I need?
Ultimately, sizing is a personal decision. We do offer guidance, however, for suggested sizing and fit. Please review our Sizing and Installation Guide located on the Product Support page under Customer Support.
14. How do I install my spandrel?

15. What is a gable bracket pitch?
Pitch is the standard measurement of the angle (slope) of a roof. It is expressed as “rise to run,” or inches of elevation for a running foot of length. For example, a pitch of 4/12 indicates a 4-inch rise from horizontal in running foot of length. Gable brackets with sharp peaks have higher pitches (e.g., 12/12 as opposed to 4/12). We offer nine pitches from 4/12 to 12/12.
If your house is new or you have the original plans, the pitch will be identified. If your house is older or you’re just not sure, we offer guidance in determining your pitch. See the Gable Bracket Sizing and Installation Guide located on the Product Support page under Customer Support.
16. Are there installation instructions for the different products?

17. I don’t see a size or design I need, do you offer custom work?
Yes. Many of our standard Durabrac brackets can be adjusted in size. Please email us at quote@durabrac.com with specifications and quantity of the product you are interested in. If it is an original design you are interested in having us create, please attach a drawing or picture to the email. Please keep in mind that we will not copy someone else’s artwork, but we can come up with a design that is similar to the look you are needing.
18. How long will my custom order take?
Each custom order is unique. Once we have consulted with you on your specific project, we will provide a cost and delivery schedule for your approval.
19. What if my custom order doesn’t fit?
If it is a manufacturing defect you can be assured that we will expedite a replacement. All custom orders, including all spandrel orders, may not be returned.
